“Spyder Jr. and Da Cobra Could Face Off Soon — Discussions Ongoing

Ugandan boxing fans could be treated to one of the most explosive domestic clashes of the year as talks intensify for a super featherweight showdown between Emmanuel “Spyder Jr.” Muwanguzi and Musuza “Da Cobra” Hassan before the end of 2025.

According to leaked reports, both camps have already held discussions on how to make the fight happen — a matchup that promises to ignite the local boxing scene and settle the debate over who truly rules Uganda’s super featherweight division.

Two Titans on a Collision Course

Emmanuel Muwanguzi, ranked 3rd in Uganda and #237 worldwide (out of 2,060), is one of the fastest-rising names in the division. Fighting under Spyder Boxnation Promotion, the 9–0 unbeaten boxer has recorded 5 knockouts, giving him a KO ratio of 55.56%.

His technical sharpness, ring composure, and tactical discipline have earned him recognition on the African Boxing Union (ABU) October rankings, making him one of the few Ugandan prospects on the continental radar.

Though Muwanguzi has yet to fight abroad, he proved his skill against international opposition last year, defeating Tanzania’s Abdallah Zamba by unanimous decision at Lamela Sports Bar, Nalumunye, Kampala.

Da Cobra’s Venom Still Strong

On the other side stands the hard-hitting Musuza “Da Cobra” Hassan, the #1 ranked super featherweight in Uganda and #223 worldwide, with a professional record of 15 fights: 11 wins (10 KOs), 3 losses, and 1 no contest.

Known for his devastating punching power (90.91% KO rate), Da Cobra has built a fearsome reputation for ending fights early. Despite his recent setback in Dubai — a fifth-round TKO loss to Ukrainian boxer Danylo Honcharuk on November 9, 2024 — Musuza remains one of the most dangerous and entertaining fighters in the division.

His comeback fight later this year could serve as the perfect opportunity to reassert his dominance — and a clash with Muwanguzi might just be the fight to do it.

What’s at Stake

If finalized, the fight would be more than a battle for supremacy; it would be a test of contrasting styles. Muwanguzi’s technical boxing and patience versus Musuza’s aggression and knockout power make for an explosive stylistic matchup.

Promoters close to the negotiations suggest December 2025 as a possible window for the fight, potentially headlining a major Kampala card before the year ends.

“It’s the fight every Ugandan boxing fan wants to see,” a source close to both camps revealed. “Two proud warriors, one division, one crown.”

With both fighters in peak form and a growing buzz around Uganda’s vibrant boxing scene, Spyder Jr. vs. Da Cobra could become one of the most talked-about matchups in recent years — a fight that defines not only a division but the next chapter of Uganda’s boxing dominance in Africa.
