Uganda’s rising amateur boxing star Nanyonjo Allen Hope Sseruyange, widely known as Nahs12 “Smiling Girl the Youth,” continues to show why she is one of the most disciplined young talents in the country.
Fresh from being awarded a full secondary school bursary (Senior One to Senior Four) by Little Dolphins International School, Allen was today seen in intense training sessions alongside her father and coach, Connrad “KingKong” Sseruyange, as preparations intensify for her next competitive outing.

The young pugilist is preparing for the Busega Boxing Club Tournament, slated for 21st February 2026 at Square Garden, Busega — an event expected to bring together some of Uganda’s finest emerging amateur boxers.
Inside the gym, Allen’s focus was evident as she worked through sharp combinations, footwork drills, and conditioning routines. Her training reflects a growing maturity and a clear understanding of what it takes to compete at a higher level, even at a young age.
According to her coach, the emphasis remains on steady development rather than pressure.
“We are building her step by step,” Connrad Sseruyange noted. “Every tournament is a learning process. What matters is discipline, consistency, and enjoying the sport.”
Allen’s journey — from winning bouts in the Uganda Boxing Champions League to earning educational opportunities through boxing — continues to inspire young athletes, especially girls, to believe that talent paired with hard work can open real doors.
As the countdown to Busega continues, Nahs12 “Smiling Girl the Youth” enters the ring not just as a competitor, but as a symbol of hope, balance, and the future of Ugandan boxing.
