“Mutyaba Collin Ends the Drama: Kampala Fight Night Set for Aug 27th”

The much-anticipated Kampala Fight Night is officially back on track after days of doubt that had unsettled Uganda’s boxing community. Scheduled for 27th August 2025 at Supremacy Lounge, the event had faced uncertainty when letters from the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) surfaced on social media claiming it was not sanctioned.

A UBF letter dated 18th August 2025 stated that Zebra Mando Promotion, the event’s organizers, had not submitted the complete fight card or signed contracts for the boxers—requirements needed for official approval.

Zebra Jr Hits Back

Organizer Isaac Zebra Jr strongly criticized the federation’s handling of the matter.

“It’s shameful for the federation to post a letter addressed to the promoter on social media before even reaching me. That’s like sabotaging my business, and it’s very unprofessional,” Zebra Jr said.

Mutyaba Collin Clears the Air

To calm the storm, event matchmaker Mutyaba Collin reassured both fighters and fans that the show is sanctioned and will go on as planned.

“The event is sanctioned and it will happen on the same date and venue. The boxers and boxing fraternity should not get worried—everything is in control,” Mutyaba confirmed.

All Eyes on August 27th

With the confusion settled, boxing fans can now look forward to a thrilling night of action at Supremacy Lounge, where Kampala Fight Night promises to deliver drama inside the ring—not outside of it.
