Kiwalabye, Fighters Cleared for July 11 Showdown

With just days to go before the much-anticipated WBU Super Bantamweight World Title bout, all fighters scheduled to appear on the July 11 boxing card at Club Obligato have officially passed their mandatory pre-fight medical examinations.

Leading the lineup is Uganda’s own Frank “Black Fire” Kiwalabye, who is set to face Tanzania’s Karim Kisairo in a bid for the WBU world title. Kiwalabye, along with all other boxers featured on the event, underwent comprehensive medical assessments earlier today as part of standard safety protocols.

Officials from the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) confirmed that all fighters were declared fit and ready to compete. The medicals included cardiovascular evaluations, vision tests, neurological assessments, and overall physical condition checks, ensuring that every athlete meets the required health standards to safely step into the ring.

“This is a very important phase in preparing for any professional fight,” said a UBF representative. “We’re pleased to report that all boxers have passed their medicals and are in good health. We now look forward to an exciting and safe night of boxing.”

Ziso Boxing Promotions, the organizers of the event, echoed the federation’s sentiments, adding that all logistics—from medicals to venue readiness—are on schedule.

With the WBU belt already in the country and anticipation growing, the clean bill of health across the board adds further momentum to what is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling boxing nights in recent Ugandan history.
