Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant has issued a direct challenge to rising star Edgar Berlanga, calling for a high-stakes showdown between the two fighters.

Plant believes a victory over Berlanga would position him for another world title shot and has been vocal about his desire to face the hard-hitting Puerto Rican.

"Berlanga talks a big game, but I'm ready to silence him," Plant declared during a recent interview.
