All Final Results: Uganda Records One of Its Best Performances at the Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championship

Uganda’s national boxing team delivered one of its most remarkable performances in recent history at the Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championship Finals, clinching a total of 16 medals — a powerful testament to the country’s growing dominance in the sport across the continent.

Led by a blend of youthful energy and experienced talent, Team Uganda finished with an impressive five gold, four silver, and six bronze medals, solidifying their position as one of the most formidable forces in African boxing.

Among the standout performers was Nabikolo Fatima, who stormed through her division to secure a gold medal, showcasing outstanding skill and composure throughout the tournament. She was joined on the top podium by fellow champions Nakalema Emily, Kasimu Murungi, Aziz Rigo, and Manirola Farhat, each earning gold for Uganda after dominant displays in their respective categories.

Silver medalists Brenda Muduuwa, Ojok Alfred, Mukwaya Edward, and Oceng Samuel also put up spirited fights, narrowly missing gold but ensuring Uganda’s medal tally remained impressive.

The bronze category was equally competitive, with Erina Namutebi, Matovu Livingstone, Kanaabi Alex, Tabule Emmanuel, Katushabe Angel, and Adriko Jimmy all showcasing resilience and skill to bring home medals for the Pearl of Africa.

Although Kato Kazibwe did not secure a medal, his effort and determination throughout the competition were widely praised by both fans and coaches.

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) hailed the team’s performance as one of the best in the country’s Zone 3 history, reflecting years of steady development and investment in the sport.

UBF officials also commended the technical team and coaching staff for their commitment, noting that the results reflect Uganda’s strong foundation and promising future in continental boxing.

As Uganda celebrates this remarkable achievement, the nation’s boxing fraternity looks ahead with optimism to upcoming international competitions, confident that these young champions will continue to lift the country’s flag even higher on the global stage.
